Katharina is a filmmaker with the problem solving mind of a get-away driver and the blazing spirit of a summer romance, driven by the desire to reinterpret reality and evoke emotion.

Raised in Germany with Greek and Puerto-Rican roots, she has lived around the world, spoken on the floor of the United Nations and worked as an Assistant Director on Hollywood pictures, before proceeding to direct her own projects.

Her passion for storytelling paved the path to the film industry in 2010, where she began working in production with a BA in Marketing Communications.

In 2013, she commenced her work as an Assistant Director on Wes Anderson’s “The Grand Budapest Hotel” and has since worked with A-listers such as Margot Robbie, Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Reynolds, Bill Murray, Saoirse Ronan and many others.

Katharina continued her work as Assistant Director on major motion pictures such as “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” and was later asked to take over as the Director’s Assistant to David Yates, where she gained extensive experience across all stages of filmmaking.

After a decade of on-set experience, and heavily inspired by the escapism of cinema, her character-driven films aim to change the narrative on and off the screen by spotlighting unconventional stories through captivating visuals that stick with you like a memory.
